Essential Duties and Responsibilities

LANL is responsible for delivering the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) Accelerator Modernization Project (LAMP) which will replace and modernize the front-end of the accelerator to improve beam delivery and reduce the maintenance necessary on these systems as the facility prepares for operation through 2050.  The goal of this task order is to provide integrated support to LANL for successfully delivering LAMP to NNSA on time and within budget. As a senior project scheduler, your duties will include:

 

  • Provide SME support for the development, integration, and validation of technical, cost, and schedule baselines, including progressive elaboration of the CD-1 cost and development of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) for CD-2/3.
  • Provide procurement QA/QC support for Title II design and long-lead procurements, including vendor surveillance and compliance verification with design specifications.
  • Provide project controls support to develop schedules, and support change control. This effort will include development and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB), ensuring full integration of scope, schedule, and cost in accordance with DOE O 413.3B and ANSI/EIA-748 requirements.
  • Provide Project Controls support to develop standardized reports and deliverables ensuring consistency with LAMP and other LANL Project/Programs.
  • Provide Project Controls and CAM Mentorship and Coaching & Training. Mentors shall engage lab personnel in relationships based on providing experienced SMEs to share knowledge, perspective, and guidance with less experienced staff over time. Coaching & Training sessions are to be structured and planned topical sessions included with training materials. Subjects and format shall be coordinated with the STR.

Education and Licensure

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent years of education and work experience.

  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.

  • 15+ years of experience or equivalent years of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a DOE and/or NNSA setting.
  • Significant experience in EVMS systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Location Details

  • Active L or Q clearance.
  • Hybrid position.
  • PMP Certification.
  • EVMS, P6, and/or Cobra Certification.
