• Lead business development efforts, including creating and implementing business plans, establishing new client relationships, retaining existing ones, and managing proposal submissions.
• Provide strong technical guidance, professional mentorship, and support to early- and mid-career colleagues.
• Oversee office leadership by setting vision, guiding recruitment, and driving growth for our Albuquerque location.
• Manage projects effectively, including handling budgets, resources, schedules, compliance with quality standards, client satisfaction, and profitability.
• Prepare technical documents such as reports, correspondence, plans, specifications, and proposals.
• Foster a positive health and safety culture, which is fundamental to our operations.
• Participate in meetings or negotiations with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as a practice leader in areas such as innovative remedial technologies (e.g., in-situ, thermal, biological, physical-chemical), handling of recalcitrant pollutants (chlorinated solvents, PCBs, heavy metals), emerging contaminants, MGP site work, Brownfield redevelopment, vapor intrusion management, mining, or industrial wastewater treatment.
• Complete required OSHA/MSHA health and safety, first aid, CPR training, and medical monitoring (paid for by the firm).
• At times, this position may also include fieldwork, including site visits, and business travel.
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), engineering (environmental, civil, or chemical engineering), or a related subject. (required)
• Advanced degree the same. (preferred)
• Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.) (preferred)

• At least 8 years (10+ years preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience in the New Mexico marketplace; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) 
• Proven track record in successful client management and business development. (required)
• Excellent leadership of multidisciplinary project teams. (required)
• Demonstrated experience in managing resources, finances, and schedules for projects. (required)
• Effective oral, written communication, and technical writing skills. (required)
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
• Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
