The preferred work location is in the area of our Lakewood and Greenwood Village offices, the opportunity to work a Hybrid work schedule or work from one of our other offices is available at the discretion of the Company.

• Conduct human health and ecological risk assessments in accordance with federal and state guidance, particularly CERCLA and RCRA;
• Assess exposure and human health and ecological risks from chemicals in contaminated environmental media (air, soil water, sediment, fish, homegrown fruits and vegetables and livestock) and consumer products;
• Manage and analyze data to support environmental investigations and prepare tables, figures, and other data exhibits;
• Perform calculations to support human health risk assessments and environmental regulatory compliance;
• Conduct literature searches and critically review and evaluate scientific studies regarding toxicological, biological, chemical fate and transport, exposure, or other risk assessment subject matters;
• Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, workplans, proposals, investigative reports, and presentations;
• Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in toxicology, chemistry, biology, environmental science, public health, or a related science field. (required)
• Advanced degree in toxicology, public health, or related science field. (preferred)

• At least 5 years (7+preferred) of work experience in an environmental consulting or regulatory environment with a focus on human health and ecological risk assessment, site investigation/remediation, and/or applied toxicology; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Working knowledge of relevant federal regulations, especially CERCLA and RCRA. (required)
• Experience with implementing EPA’s Risk Assessment Guidance for Superfund. (required)
• Experience preparing FIFRA, REACH and TSCA registration applications. (preferred)
• Experience working on legally sensitive projects. (preferred)
• Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
• Strong work ethic and must be a self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, detail-oriented work style, willingness to learn, and commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a team and achieve team objectives.
• Demonstrated competency in statistics and quantitative data analysis. (preferred)
• Knowledge of and experience in exposure assessment, human health and ecological risk assessment, toxicology, and related regulations. (preferred)
• Prior research experience in environmental science or toxicology. (preferred)
• The ability and willingness to travel and perform fieldwork as needed. (required)
• Strong quantitative skills and experience managing large datasets with Microsoft Excel and presentation skills with Microsoft PowerPoint. (required)
• Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. 
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)   
• Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position.

Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

• Minimum Salary: $74,900/year / Maximum Salary: $118,955 /year (Lakewood, Greenwood Village, CO)
