Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant - Global Product Stewardship Professional in Cincinnati, OH or Wilmington, NC to help us grow our Global Product Stewardship and compliance practice and lead client development activities. The opportunity to work fully remote from your home-office is available at the discretion of the Company. You must have a strong background in materials and product registration and compliance as well as an entrepreneurial attitude, and enthusiasm for supporting business development and technical efforts to expand Geosyntec’s market share. The successful candidate will have a background in international and domestic regulatory programs related to REACH, GHS, and TSCA programs, as well as a background in product characterization, product chemistry, and risk evaluation related to exposure and due diligence liability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support client goals and projects related to domestic and international materials and chemical product registration, safety and compliance, and related risk and liability issues including transactional due diligence;
  • Support client needs related to REACH, GHS, and TSCA programs as well as global raw material management and product supply chain compliance;
  • Provide expert peer review and quality control to multiple projects and project teams within the scope/budget/schedule expectations, ensuring the highest quality standards on project deliverables;
  • Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business;
  • Support project teams and initiatives related to environment, health, and safety compliance for multiple industrial client groups; and,
  • Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

  • Fieldwork and overnight travel may occasionally also be necessary.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemistry, toxicology, environmental engineering, other applicable related degree. (required)
  • Advanced degree in environmental science, chemistry, toxicology, environmental engineering, other applicable related degree. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience (15+preferred) in programs such as REACH, GHS and TSCA; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Expert knowledge of GHS compliance requirements, raw materials and product supply chain compliance, or related practices experience. (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of relevant international, federal and state regulatory programs (e.g., REACH, RoHS, FIFRA, TSCA, FDA, Prop 65). (required)
  • TSCA new chemical registration experience related to strategy and completion of Pre-Manufacturing Notice filings for EPA
  • Experience in supporting and leading teams on multiple complex product registration, safety and compliance, GHS compliance, or related projects. (required)
  • Ability and willingness to travel. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. 
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
