Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Project Professional for our Solid Waste Advisory Practice in our Orlando, Florida office. The position will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of consulting engagements involving complex economic and financial analyses, waste diversion and operational evaluations, recycling programs, data analysis, and solid waste planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct economic analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models.
  • Source and critically evaluate data to provide insightful analysis and presentations.
  • Research markets, industries, and companies.
  • Manage lifecycle projects, including development of engagement proposals.
  • Write reports and develop presentations.
  • Interact with clients and teams through briefings and collaboration.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. 

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical and/or quantitative discipline (engineering, environmental or earth science, economics, math, or finance). (required) 
  • Advanced degree and/or professional registration (MS, MBA, PhD, PE, or PG). (preferred) 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience related to solid waste; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) 
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (particularly Excel) and other analysis and project management software. (required)
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in working in a consulting environment. (required)
  • The drive, intellectual curiosity and creativity to successfully complete a broad range of client engagements. (required)
  • An outstanding track record for client management and technical leadership. (preferred)
  • Advanced economic and financial modeling and research skills. (preferred)
  • Experience working on demanding, sophisticated, and legally sensitive projects. (preferred)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required) 
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
