Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Specialist - Research and Leads to support external communications in our Asheville, NC, Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, Houston, TX, Overland Park, KS, or Richmond, VA offices, the potential to work a hybrid schedule or remotely from your home-office is available at the discretion of the Company. The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and works collaboratively with senior leaders, managers, key content contributors and colleagues. This position researches potential clients, markets, and competitors; prepares internal presentations; assists with the coordination and follow up on leads generated from targeted digital marketing campaigns, website leads, and other sources, and qualifies leads for our practitioners, and assists practitioners with the sales presentations and closing sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality for digital media deliverables for corporate communications initiatives and projects;
  • Manage content on social media channels and create presentations and performance reports;
  • Make suggestions for continuing to distinguish the firm competitively;
  • Participate in developing creative concepts for internal and external communications employing commonly used software from Microsoft and Adobe;
  • Provide creative contribution to the firm’s digital communications initiatives;
  • Use third-party marketing and automation software;
  • Help in researching, writing, and editing content for distribution that includes photos, graphics, and videos;
  • Support the development and implementation of Geosyntec's corporate communications strategy with the creation, launch, and oversight of paid and organic digital advertising campaigns;
  • Research clients in specific locations and market sectors using online research tools;
  • Assist with the follow-up on leads generated from the company website and targeted digital marketing campaigns;
  • Originate written content within editorial guidelines that transforms factual material from subject matter experts into compelling marketing messages;
  • Learn and maintain knowledge required to use current content management systems including WordPress, Joomla!, Hubspot, SharePoint, and other systems as required;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, technology, and digital platforms to provide the best methods for effective internal communication;
  • Track analytics for key performance indicators and benchmarks, set goals, and measure the success of communications initiatives;
  • Manage content calendars to streamline communication initiatives; and
  • Help the team develop public relations and promotional materials including the creation and distribution programs.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, writing, journalism, public relations, or a related discipline focused on written communications and 4 years of experience, an Associate's degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of relevant experience. (required)
  • Business development marketing experience in the science, engineering, technology, or professional services industry (preferred)
  • Experience with LinkedIn, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google, Google Ads, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Web searching, Copilot AI, and other market research tools. (preferred)
