Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a limited term Senior Consultant - Project Development Manager in Houston, TX to help grow our industrial clients in the Gulf Coast area. This is a unique opportunity to work with leading engineers and scientists with numerous business and professional contacts and develop new remediation, compliance, permitting, and engineering design opportunities. This position is ideal for a skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about driving business growth through innovative project development. Responsibilities include identification and capture of new business opportunities with a focus on the Gulf Coast.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop project opportunities; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance market position with clients;
  • Coordinate with regional marketing teams, market sector leaders, and branch technical staff;
  • Provide mentoring and training to junior staff;
  • Review and manage written document production, such as Statement of Qualifications and other marketing materials; and
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients and other parties.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in related field. (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of environmental consulting experience in the Gulf Coast market and nationally; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Successful client management and business development track record. (required)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
  • Excellent leadership skills. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, meet strict deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Field work and overnight travel may be required. 
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred) 
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. 
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
