Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist in one of our Southern California offices, or the opportunity to work remotely.  The Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist will work directly with technical leads and the regional marketing team. The Senior Marketing Specialist will develop compliant, comprehensive, and compelling submittals (proposals and opportunity-specific statements of qualifications (SOQs)) for the Southwest Region. The Senior Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing, scheduling, editing, and producing proposals, opportunity-related SOQs, project descriptions, resumes, and other marketing materials in accordance with Geosyntec’s policies, government regulations and copyright laws.  Work requires the exercise of considerable initiative and independent judgment.  Experience with public agency proposals and a track record of coordinating large and diverse subconsultant teams is desired. 

 

This position allows for remote, hybrid, or in-office work, with a preference for candidates in the Pacific time zone who can occasionally travel for on-site collaboration. Flexibility is essential, as occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends, may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead all aspects of the competitive proposal preparation - from initial planning through delivery and post-award, including internal and client debriefs on wins or losses;
  • Draft content such as introduction, win themes, proof statements, relevant experience, project teams/organizational charts;
  • Overall responsibility for proposal/SOQ criteria and compliance, oversee production, and arrange for on-time deliveries;
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior marketing staff;
  • Assist technical and marketing leads with research related to prior pursuit RFP/evaluation panel questions-answers as well as gather information on potential client projects;
  • Assist with seller-doer training and mentoring activities related to marketing and proposals;
  • Identify and coordinate the development where creation/refresh of branding/marketing materials is needed such as flyers, brochures, and statements of qualifications to support targeted business development efforts;
  • Create/approve news announcements for internal and external postings;
  • Perform special projects and related work as required.

Education and Licensure

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline and at least six (6) years of progressive professional experience in the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction), or at least ten (10) years of directly related experience is required or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities of the position. Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Progressive professional experience performing increasingly complex and varied project assignments in leading proposal teams. (required)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe InDesign experience. (required)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and possess exceptional planning, organizational, writing, and formatting skills. (required)
  • Proficiency in comprehending, evaluating, and interpreting various marketing, technical, and business documents. (required)
  • Proficient in crafting marketing materials and correspondence that are articulate, well-structured, effectively convey the intended message, and enhance brand recognition. (required)
  • Ability to create effective presentations and respond to inquiries from internal and external clients. (required)
  • Ability to write in a marketing and/or journalistic manner. (required)
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. (required)
  • Ability to adapt to different communication styles and thrive in a client deadline-driven work environment. (required)
  • Conscientious and flexible, with a strong work ethic and team player attitude. (required)

Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in California locations. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $91,475/year / Maximum Salary: $119,755/year
