Geosyntec, a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmental professional services firm, has an exciting opportunity for Senior Graphic Designer in our Acton, MA, South Hamilton, MA, Bedford, NH or Blue Bell, PA office. The position offers the option of either working full-time in office or a hybrid work from home option. As a member of the corporate graphics group, the individual should have an excellent sense of communication & problem-solving skills along with time management, conceptualization and design of solutions from concept to completion.  Able to work well within the guidelines established by the Senior Graphic Design Manager. Applies “best practices” tools, processes, and formats to ensure effective, consistent graphics follow the design standards established within the firm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experienced in designing and formatting proposals using Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign;
  • Understand and translate concepts to creation and communicate the vision of the project with innovative, creative solutions;
  • Prepare design concepts efficiently with creative flare and confidence to maintain overall consistency;
  • Understand how to use the corporate brand elements for the Geosyntec Family of Companies;
  • Work with copywriters, technical editors, and other content generators to develop graphic design concepts that support the strategic vision of marketing collateral;
  • Develop new graphics and templates for Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to create informative and persuasive presentations;
  • Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize deadlines while working on multiple projects;
  • Act as quality control lead during the production of files for print (final delivery and proofing);
  • Develop design templates for graphic applications;
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal clients; and
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience, an Associate degree and four (4) years of experience, or six (6) years of experience. (required)
  • Proficient with the Macintosh platform, with knowledge of a PC platform, along with full working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat. skills. (required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting, style creation and element manipulation (required)
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret marketing, technical, and other business documents.  (required)
  • Ability to quality-check materials that are organized, clearly presented and further the Geosyntec “brand”. (required)
  • Ability to communicate with internal clients on graphics. (required)
  • Ability to understand design methods and trends with the goal of creating and editing visual content to develop and implement brand-building initiatives. (required)
