This position supports the creation and implementation of new strategies by providing strategic solutions to our clients’ most complex problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec’s culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you’d work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks.

 

Some of the key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects;
  • Work plan development, data evaluation and report writing;
  • Task and project management, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
  • Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
  • Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Reviewing and managing written document production;
  • Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; and
  • Job may include fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree the same. (preferred)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E., P.G.) (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of direct environmental consulting experience in conceptual site model development, regulatory interpretation, and groundwater remediation strategy development, implementation, and performance evaluation; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) 
  • Experience with field data collection and field data reporting. (required)
  • Experience with groundwater and surface water modeling. (preferred)
  • Detailed understanding of USEPA regulations. (required)
  • Understanding of other Federal program regulations, including the FAR. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) 
  • In order to comply with government contract requirements and associated clearance requirements for this position, U.S. citizenship is required.
